Cómo usar botas arriba de la rodilla con estilo 

Seguramente ya se dieron cuenta que uno de los must have de la temporada son una vez más las botas por arriba de la rodilla, ese tipo de botas que nos recuerdan a Julia Roberts en Pretty Wowan y que ahora si se llevan bien pueden ser padre del outfit más sofisticado. ¿Pero cuál es el secreto para lograr un look sofisticado y no uno tacky? Para mí las botas por arriba de la rodilla son una pieza increíble pero que hay que tener mucho cuidado en como combinarlas para lograr un look chic y no uno vulgar, es por eso que decidí hacer este post el día de hoy y darles algunos tips para lograrlo.

So what’s the secret to wear over the knee boots and look chic and sophisticated instead of tacky? I love this kind of boots but always have been afraid of how to wear them without looking tacky, so in today’s post I want to show the right way to wear them and get a chic and sophisticated look. Think of them like make up, if you have really smocky eyes your lipstick has to be more neutral and the other way around. So here are some tips for wearing your over the knee boots:

Piensa que es como el maquillaje, si recargas mucho los ojos el labial debe ser más mate y al revés si tu labial es de un tono muy fuerte los ojos van más neutros. Con estas botas es igual, no uses escotes, animal print, etc, queremos lograr looks chics y con clase. Aquí algunas formas de combinar tus botas por arriba de la rodilla:

Capas/ Layers.

Puedes llevarlas con un vestido o falda cortos y/o ajustados, pero entonces complementa el look con un abrigo o chaleco largo de manera que en conjunto se vea sexy y elegante. / You can match a tight mini skirt or mini dress with your over the knee boots but make sure to wear something over like a long vest or coat

Vestidos sueltos de telas ligeras / Wide dresses.

Estos son ideales para llevar con botas por arriba de la rodilla y cómodos si nunca había usado este tipo de botas, sobretodo si el vestido no es tan corto. / Ideal to wear them with your over the knee boots, specially if you are not so used of wearing this type or boots.

Minifaldas y shorts / Mini skirts and shorts.

Si eres delgada y tienes piernas lindas puedes usarlas con este tipo de prendas siempre y cuando en la parte de arriba lleves algo más clásico que compense el look. / If you are thin and have cute legs and more confident, of course you can wear them with your over the knee boots, but always make sure the top part is more conservative and classic.

 

Con jeans o pantalones / With jeans or pants.

Para días más fríos o un look más casual esta es la mejor opción. / For colder days or just to get a more casual look jeans and pants are the best option.
